Tension continues to build days after the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 clash. There were already calls for a boycott of the group stage clash on Sunday amid the rising political tensions between the two neighbouring nations.
However, the match was played as scheduled in Dubai and India comfortably beat their rivals by seven wickets and clinched the game.
Pakistan were simply no match for the much superior Indian team, who are the holders of the Asia Cup as well as the T20 World Cup currently.

Ahead of the match, India captain Suryakumar Yadav avoided shaking hands with his Pakistani counterpart Salman Agha, while after the game, the Indian team went to the dressing room without the customary handshaking with the opponents.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) launched an official complaint with the ICC against India for not complying with their Code of Conduct and Spirit of Cricket and even demanded the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft for not adhering to the rules and implicating India.
The PCB even threatened to withdraw from Asia Cup if their demands were not met, but ICC eventually rejected all their claims.

Mohammad Yousuf repeatedly abuses India captain Suryakumar Yadav
Now, former Pakistan batter Mohammad Yousuf has joined the bandwagon to bash the Indian team. While several ex-players criticised India for not showing sportsman spirit, Yousuf went extreme with his criticism and hit a new low by calling India captain Suryakumar Yadav a pig.
On Samaa TV, Yousuf was part of a panel that were discussing the India vs Pakistan game. During the conversation, Yousuf distorted SKY's first name and called him "S*uarkumar Yadav". The term S*ar translates to a pig in English.

Yousuf: "India cannot escape their castle of illusion. Their captain, Suarkumar Yadav…"
Anchor: "It's Suryakumar Yadav"
Yousuf: "Yeah, that's what I said. Suarkumar Yadav"
Anchor: "No, his name is Suryakumar Yadav"
Yousuf: "Oh, okay! He is Suarkumar Yadav. India should be ashamed of itself because of its shenanigans to win matches: keeping the Umpire in cohorts and torturing the referee to act according to them. There is a limit to everything."
