In the India vs Pakistan clash at the Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai, one moment stood out for Pakistan despite their batting struggles.
Shaheen Afridi turned heads with the bat as he hammered four towering sixes in just 16 balls.

His unbeaten 33-run cameo not only lifted Pakistan’s total but also put him alongside some of Pakistan’s finest when it comes to six-hitting against India in T20Is.
How did Shaheen Afridi’s batting cameo unfold against India?
Pakistan’s innings started on the wrong foot, losing Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris cheaply. Wickets kept tumbling as Kuldeep Yadav’s spin wrecked the middle order, and the team looked destined to fold for a very low score.
But Shaheen Afridi had other ideas. Coming in late, he went on the attack, smashing four clean sixes without a single four.
Two of those came in the final over bowled by Hardik Pandya, helping Pakistan finish on 127/9. His 33* off 16 balls was the standout knock of the innings and injected some respectability into the scoreline.

Who holds the record for most sixes by a Pakistan batter vs India in T20Is?
Shaheen’s four sixes put him in the same group as Misbah-ul-Haq and Iftikhar Ahmed, who had also hit the same number of sixes in a T20I game against India.
Misbah first set the benchmark with his 43 off 38 balls in Johannesburg during the 2007 World T20 final. Later, Iftikhar matched it with a 51 off 34 in Melbourne at the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Now, Shaheen’s late fireworks in Dubai have brought him into this elite list, a rare feat for a bowler-turned-batsman.
