‘Not afraid of mad dogs’ – Mohammad Shami’s ex-wife hits back at India pacer with cryptic social media post image

India fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been in a long-standing legal battle with his ex-wife, Hasin Jahan.

The duo married in 2014 and had a daughter together. However, they started living apart soon after and eventually divorced in 2019.

Jahan has stayed in the limelight after making accusations against Shami, including calling him a fixer -- an allegation that was never proven.

Following Shami's recent interview with News24, in which he spoke about not having any regrets following the divorce, Jahan made a cryptic social media post. She referred to a 2018 controversy between her and the bowler's family.

What did Mohammad Shami's ex-wife Hasin Jahan say about the cricketer?

On Friday, August 29, Jahan took to her Instagram and posted a reel, which also featured her daughter. The caption appeared to take a dig at Shami without naming him directly.

In 2018, she had accused the cricketer and his family of domestic violence. Through her post, she indicated the efforts being made to pressurize and scare her.

"I am not afraid of mad stray dogs, then I would have been scared back in 2018 itself. No matter how hard someone tries to scare me and ruin my life, I would only go strength to strength by Allah's grace," she wrote in her post.

The 34-year-old is currently representing the East Zone in the Duleep Trophy against the North Zone in Bengaluru, where he took a solitary wicket and conceded 100 runs in 23 overs during the first innings.

In response to North Zone's 205 runs, the East Zone was bowled out for 230, and the bowler could only manage 1(8) before being trapped LBW by Auqib Nabi.
