The Asia Cup is set to commence in the UAE from September 9, and with the BCCI having finalized the 15-member squad, the focus has now shifted to the team's travel plans ahead of the much-awaited tournament.

When will the Indian cricket team depart for the UAE to participate in the Asia Cup?
Unlike their usual travel plans, players of Team India will leave individually from their respective bases for the UAE this time around. According to reports, the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav will leave for the marquee event on September 4th.
Other Indian players, including Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and Kuldeep Yadav, are also expected to arrive by September 4. The trio is currently featuring in the quarter-finals of the Duleep Trophy

"All the players will arrive in Dubai by September 4 evening, and the first nets session will be held on September 5 at the ICC Academy. Factoring in the logistical convenience, the players will be allowed to fly into Dubai from their respective cities," a senior BCCI official was quoted as saying by PTI.
Meanwhile, reserve players such as Washington Sundar, Prasidh Krishna, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and others won't travel with the team.
When is the Asia Cup starting?
The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to commence on September 9 and will conclude on September 28. Two venues, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will host all the games. India will open their campaign against the UAE on September 10, followed by the clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 14.
