India wrapped up the five-match Test series against England with a thrilling six-run win at The Oval, drawing the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2.

Though Jasprit Bumrah didn't play the final Test due to workload management, the pacer took to social media to reflect on what he called a memorable series.

The final match saw Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna step up in Bumrah's absence - sharing nine wickets between them on the final day to seal a dramatic win in London.

"We take back great memories from a highly competitive and enthralling Test series! Looking forward to what's next," Bumrah wrote on Instagram after the series concluded.

The 31-year-old was rested for the final Test as part of a pre-planned workload strategy but had already made an impact earlier in the series.

Across three Tests (Leeds, Lord's and Manchester), Bumrah bowled 119.4 overs and picked up 14 wickets - including two five-wicket hauls. His standout performances were at Headingley and Lord's.

However, signs of fatigue were seen in the fourth Test where he bowled 33 overs in the first innings but managed just 2 for 103 - his most expensive Test figures to date. His pace also dropped over the series - a key reason behind the selectors' decision to manage his workload carefully.

What's next for Jasprit Bumrah?

India's chairman of selectors - Ajit Agarkar, had confirmed earlier that Bumrah wouldn't play more than three Tests in the England series. He is now set for a month-long break and is expected to return for the Asia Cup T20 which will be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28.
