Ranji Trophy 2025-26 action will resume on Thursday, January 22, as the state teams are all set to battle it out for the ultimate in India's domestic red-ball cricket.
The season began in October last year and all the teams played five matches each before the season was paused due to the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Now, as the campaign resumes and with only two rounds of group matches left, the battles will intensify. Several India international Test stars are all set to feature in the final group games for their respective state teams.

India's Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill, who has failed to secure a place in the Men in Blue's T20I squad in the New Zealand series and then in the 2026 T20 World Cup, is all set to return to domestic cricket and lead Punjab in the final stage of the Ranji season.
Elsewhere, Ravindra Jadeja will lead Saurashtra, while Mohammed Siraj is all set to captain Hyderabad in the final games.
Shardul Thakur and Ajinkya Rahane will be in action for Mumbai, while KL Rahul could also feature for Karnataka and lead the state side.
