How did India dominate Pakistan in the Women’s World Cup 2025 match?

India continued their incredible record against Pakistan and made it 12 straight wins in ODIs.

Deepti Sharma picked up three wickets, while also adding useful runs with the bat. Her direct hit to remove opener Muneeba Ali was one of the turning points of the game, as it broke Pakistan’s rhythm early.

The bowlers kept up the pressure throughout, not allowing Pakistan to settle. By the end, India sealed an easy 88-run victory, moving to the top of the tournament table.

Why was Deepti Sharma given the Best Fielder medal?

Deepti’s all-round show was one of the highlights of the match. Along with three wickets and a vital 25 runs, her fielding stood out.

The run-out of Muneeba Ali came from a sharp throw that showed her game awareness and quick reflexes.

After the match, Richa Ghosh, who had won the medal in the previous game, passed it to Deepti. With a big smile, Deepti said, “God is great,” as her teammates cheered loudly around her.

What did the coach say about India’s fielding performance?

While India celebrated the win, fielding coach Munish Bali pointed out both the good and the areas to improve.

He praised Deepti, Smriti Mandhana, and Harmanpreet Kaur for their catches and direct hits, but also mentioned that a few chances were dropped.

The win took India to the top of the standings, while Pakistan remains winless in sixth place.

Harmanpreet Kaur and her team will next face South Africa on October 9 in Visakhapatnam, followed by a tough clash against defending champions Australia on October 12 at the same venue.
