The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the fifth Test against England at the Oval.
During Day 1 of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, the India wicketkeeper was hit on his toe while attempting to reverse-lap a Chris Woakes delivery.
It was later revealed that the batter had sustained a fracture and would require six weeks of rest before he could return to the field.
