Having won the Asia Cup 2025, the Indian T20I side will be back in action after a month's break later in October, as they tour Australia for a five-match T20I series.

The series is scheduled to follow the three-match ODI series, which begins on October 19 in Perth.

Heading into the tour, India boasts of three consecutive series wins against Australia in the format since 2020, including an away series win in 2020/21.

The last time these two teams collided in a T20I was in the Super Eights of the T20 World Cup 2024, where Rohit Sharma's 92(41) led India to a 24-run win in Gros Islet.

Suryakumar Yadav will continue to lead the Indian team with one change from the continental title-winning squad after Hardik Pandya sustained an injury before the final, making room for Nitish Kumar Reddy.

On the other hand, Mitchell Marsh captains the new-look Aussie side, consisting of some exciting talents like Mitchell Owen, along with some experienced campaigners.

In what is expected to be a tightly fought series, this will be a test of each team's lineups and squads before the 2026 T20 World Cup in India.
