With India set to play only four Tests this year, the question that made rounds was on the availability of India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming series.
India's chairman of selectors, Ajit Agarkar, has now opened up on the pacer's availability as he announced the Indian squad through a press conference in Dubai.
Jasprit Bumrah set to play both Tests against the West Indies
Agarkar revealed that India's bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is all set to be available for both Test matches against the West Indies.
Bumrah's workload management has been an integral part of the Indian team management over the past few years. The pacer has had concerns with his back, for which he underwent surgery last year.
"Squad is picked for two Tests. Bumrah is available for both games," said Agarkar. "Normally, the discussions are had with physios and coaches. Obviously, we want the best for him, but the team will always come first. He is a terrific performer, and we want him available as much as possible, but we have to be careful with some big tournaments coming up."
The star pacer is currently a part of India's T20I side for the ongoing Asia Cup. After a few bad days in the continental event, where he proved to be a bit expensive, the pacer came back in style against Bangladesh, delivering a spell of 2/18 in 4 overs.

Bumrah last featured in a red-ball game in Manchester during the fourth India vs England Test in August, where he took a fifer, his second of the series.
