After leading his team to a massive win in Dubai, he dedicated the result to the armed forces of India and to the families affected by the tragic Pahalgam attack.

After the win, Suryakumar said that it was the right time to remember the brave soldiers and the families who suffered during the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year.

"Just wanted to say something. I think it's the perfect occasion, taking the time out, we stand by the victims of the families of the Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity," the Indian captain said.

He shared that the team stands with them and wanted the victory to be a tribute to their strength.

He also added that the armed forces inspire the players to give their best and they will continue to make them proud whenever possible.

"We want to dedicate the win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery. Hope they continue to inspire us all, and we will give them more reasons on the ground whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile," he added.

India dominate Pakistan in the Asia Cup clash

The match itself was one-sided. Pakistan could not handle the Indian bowlers and were stopped at just 127 runs. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel played key roles with the ball.

Chasing the target, India looked very comfortable. On his birthday, captain Suryakumar led from the front with a steady knock and guided India to a seven-wicket win with 25 balls still left.
