The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy remains alive with England holding on to their 2-1 lead in the series.
India salvaged a draw in the fourth Test match at Old Trafford after fighting centuries from Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar and a gritty 90 from KL Rahul.
England posted a mammoth 669 runs in response to India's 358 in the first innings. The home side took a huge lead of 311 and also had the upper hand after dismissing two Indian batters for ducks. But it was tough going since then as India kept piling runs.

England will be disappointed, as a win in Manchester would have sealed the series. Instead, the decider now moves to The Oval in London. A win or even a draw there will be enough for the hosts to clinch a memorable series victory over India.
For India, the equation couldn't be clearer. They must win the fifth Test to level the series. A loss would not only hand England the series but also see India relinquish the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
