Unfortunately, the first T20I could not be completed and was called off due to heavy rainfall in Canberra. Batting first, India posted 97/1 in 9.4 overs when the game was halted and eventually cancelled.
At that time, Shubman Gill was batting on 37 runs in 20 balls and captain Suryakumar Yadav posted 39 runs in 24 balls.
On his way to 39, SKY hit two sixes, with his second shot being a milestone figure in T20Is as he became the fifth batter in the world to hit 150 or more sixes in the shortest format and the second-highest six-hitter in T20s after Rohit Sharma.
