IND vs PAK: Haris Rauf allegedly disrespects India's national anthem during Asia Cup 2025 final image

For the third time in this edition of the Asia Cup, India and Pakistan locked horns in the final of the tournament in an attempt to assert supremacy at the continental level.

This competition is the first time that the teams have faced each other after the Pahalgam terror attack, followed by the cross-border tensions in the summer, the after-effects of which have been on display in all three matches.

In the latest controversy, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi have found themselves in yet another controversy. This time, it was for allegedly disrespecting India's national anthem before the final.

Here's what happened.

Haris Rauf under fire after allegedly disrespecting India's national anthem

India won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first on Sunday in Dubai. As the teams lined up for the national anthems of the two teams as per the protocols, fans observed something strange.

Pakistan's ace pacers Rauf and Afridi were seen moving and casually having discussions as India's anthem was being played.

The duo's photos went viral on the internet, and the players have once again been under the scanner.

This is not the first time that Rauf has landed himself in trouble in the Asia Cup, as he was also reprimanded by the ICC during an official hearing on Friday, when he was fined 30% of his match fee upon BCCI lodging an official complaint over his '6-0' gesture towards Indian fans.
