The Pakistani pacer, through his post, heaped praises on the former Indian captain Virat Kohli, which was read by many fans as a subtle dig at the current Indian team after the handshake saga.
Is Amir's compliment to Kohli a dig at the current Indian squad?
A lot has happened between the two sides, India and Pakistan, in the last week. As a protest against the inhuman terror attack earlier this year, which took away the lives of several innocent Indians, Team India refused to shake hands with the Pakistani players, which gave rise to a huge controversy.
The fallout created a huge uproar with divided opinions from the people. While the majority of Indians supported India's decision, it was heavily criticized by the Pakistani cricketers, their people, and their media.

The incident even left the Pakistan Cricket Board furious, as they were planning to boycott their game against the UAE. The game, however, did happen after a lot of drama and an hour's delay.
Amir took to his X and shared a picture of himself alongside Virat Kohli and mentioned, "One thing is for sure, Virat is the best player and human being in Indian cricket history."

When is the India vs Pakistan Super Fours clash?
Pakistan defeated the UAE by 41 runs in their final league encounter and, with that, made it to the next stage. They will now face arch-rivals India once again on Sunday, September 21st, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The match is expected to produce a thriller after all that has transpired between the two teams. All the controversies and the boycott saga have certainly ignited the spark this time around, and one could expect a jam-packed stadium and much more hype for the marquee clash.
