Virat Kohli holds a record that no other batter in Asia Cup history can match. The former India captain has bagged seven Player of the Match awards - the most by any cricketer in the tournament's history.

No other Indian has managed more than three. Known for his chasing mastery, Kohli has produced some of the most memorable knocks in Asia Cup cricket.

His 183 against Pakistan in Mirpur (2012) is still regarded as one of the greatest innings in the competition. Across different editions, he has repeatedly stepped up in crunch games - earning recognition almost every time India needed him most.

Kohli's Asia Cup journey has now closed though. After lifting the 2024 T20 World Cup, he stepped away from T20 format - which means India will enter the 2025 Asia Cup without their biggest match-winner in the tournament's history.
