The 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy has reached its business end of the campaign. A total of 38 teams participated in this edition of the competition. The Elite category had four groups with eight teams each, while the Plate group had six teams in one pool.
The top two teams from each Elite group qualified for the knockouts. From the quarterfinals, defending champions Karnataka, Saurashtra, Vidarbha and Punjab progressed to the semis.

In the last-four stage, Vidarbha defeated reigning champions Karnataka to reach the final, where they will face Saurashtra, who defeated Punjab in the other semi-final clash.

Who are the highest run-scorers in Vijay Hazare Trophy history?
Maharashtra's Ankit Bawne is the all-time highest runscorer in Vijay Hazare Trophy history. The experienced made his List-A debut back in 2009 and has appeared in 94 matches for his team, where he scored 4178 runs at an average of 54.97. He is also the only player in the competition's history to record more than 4000 runs.
Bawne is followed by former and present India internationals like Mayank Agarwal, Dinesh Karthik and Manish Pandey.
