India and Pakistan are set to meet in an all-important final, the first-ever meeting between the two sides in the 41-year-old history of the ACC Men's Asia Cup. The game will commence on Sunday, September 28 at the Dubai International stadium.

What did Aakash Chopra say about Indian spinners?

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra highlighted the importance of the Indian spin trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel. The former cricketer mentioned how the three Indian spinners control the game and can find their way back even after being hit for runs.

Thanks to their spinners, India has been very solid with the ball in the middle phases. The Indian spinners have performed exceedingly well in the continental event and have managed to restrict the opponent.

Kuldeep is currently the leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 13 wickets. In contrast, Varun and Axar, despite not taking those many wickets, have managed to contain runs and have played a key role in the side's success.

"From 11-15 overs, the Indian spinners take hold of the game. They have the quality to find the way and come back, and stay relevant even after being taken for runs," said Chopra

The trio played a key role in India's win against Sri Lanka in their last Super 4s match, which went down to the Super Over. In a chase of 203, Sri Lanka were cruising at 134/1 in 12 overs when Varun, Kuldeep, and Axar came back strong, applied the brakes, and also picked up wickets.

As India takes to the field for one final time in this edition of the continental event, the side will hope for another collective display from its spin trio.
