Former India bowler and father of Yuvraj Singh, Yograj, is often in the news for his remarks on India legends like MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.

Yograj has been a vocal critic of Dhoni for denying his son Yuvraj opportunities during their playing days, while even claiming in the past that Dhoni had "backstabbed" Yuvraj.

Yograj has also accused Kapil Dev of being the sole reason why his international career was short-lived. Singh, who started his career around the same time as Kapil during the late 1970s, has represented India in just one Test match and six One-Day internationals.

However, the 67-year-old has finally softened his stance on the two ex-India World Cup-winning captains as he claimed he will no longer badmouth the two legends. Singh, however, claimed that he had always spoken the truth.

On Dhoni, Singh added, "I considered Dhoni as Yuvraj's brother. But the way Sachin took care of him, why couldn't Dhoni? I never wanted to say anything bad about them. But, yes, I always called a spade a spade. I have always spoken the truth, but if that's a mistake, then I promise I'll pray to god to forgive them."
