Arshdeep Singh says Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill trust their bowlers

Asked about the difference between the two captains, Arshdeep said their biggest common trait is the faith they show in their bowling unit. He described both as "proper bowler's captains" who give their bowlers complete freedom to execute their plans.

"ODIs I have played very less, so I can't tell the difference yet, but I would say both of them are proper bowler's captains. They give you proper freedom, and even today Shubman, whatever plans we had, he said, 'bowl freely to your plans and just enjoy the moment,'" Arshdeep said.

Shubman Gill's message after India's batting collapse

Despite India posting just 136/9 in the 26-over game, Arshdeep revealed that Gill's message to the bowlers was to focus on expression rather than pressure.

"We knew we didn't have that many runs but we just wanted to express ourselves, that was his message. And it's just the start and surely he will have a great time ahead," he added.

With India set to regroup for the next ODI, Arshdeep's remarks underline the growing sense of continuity within the team's leadership - whether under Rohit or Gill.
