In the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 game, a very strange thing happened while Pakistan played Bangladesh.

For a few seconds, both Bangladesh batters ended up stranded at the same end, and yet neither of them was run out.

Fans were left shocked, while Pakistan’s fielding once again became a talking point.

What happened during the bizarre run-out incident during PAK vs BAN during Asia cup?

The moment came in the fifth over of Bangladesh’s chase of 136. Towhid Hridoy played a sharp cut off Shaheen Afridi’s bowling towards backward point. Saim Ayub showed great reflexes, diving to stop the ball.

At the same time, complete confusion unfolded between the two batters. Saif Hassan charged all the way to the striker’s end, but his partner didn’t move. Both men were standing at the same crease.

Ayub quickly threw the ball towards the non-striker’s end. But instead of capitalising, Pakistan’s fielders failed to back him up.

The throw wasn’t a direct hit, and no one was in position to collect it cleanly. By the time they reacted, Saif Hassan had already turned back and scrambled to safety.

Interestingly, the let-off didn’t last long. Just one ball later, Afridi dismissed Hridoy with a top-edge that went high in the air. This time, Ayub completed the catch cleanly at backward point.
