Tensions between India and Pakistan spilled beyond the field during their Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash as reports suggest both boards have lodged complaints with the ICC over players' conduct.
The BCCI has formally raised concerns about provocative gestures made by Pakistan's Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan while the PCB has objected to India captain Suryakumar Yadav's post-match remarks.

The matter is now in the hands of the ICC with possible hearings expected in the coming days.
BCCI's complaint against Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan
The BCCI filed an official complaint with the ICC earlier this week - highlighting actions by Rauf and Farhan during the September 21 encounter. If the players deny the allegations, the case could go before ICC Elite Panel referee Richie Richardson for a hearing.

During the match, Rauf allegedly mimicked an aircraft crashing: an act interpreted as mocking India's military after chants of "Kohli, Kohli" echoed in the stands. He was also accused of hurling abuses at Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.
Meanwhile, Farhan celebrated his fifty with a gun-firing gesture using his bat which drew widespread criticism.
"That celebration was just a moment at that time. I don't do many celebrations after scoring 50. But it suddenly came to my mind. I don't know how people will take it. I don't care about that,” Farhan told reporters after the game.

PCB protests Suryakumar Yadav's comments
The PCB has reportedly lodged a complaint with the ICC over India skipper Suryakumar Yadav's remarks following the September 14 game against Pakistan.
Suryakumar had dedicated the win to the Indian Armed Forces engaged in Operation Sindoor and expressed solidarity with victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. The PCB claims his comments carried political undertones.
However, questions remain over the timing of the complaint as ICC regulations require such matters to be raised within seven days.
The controversy deepened when ACC chairman and PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi posted a slow-motion video of Cristiano Ronaldo on social media - appearing to mimic an aircraft crash.
Naqvi's actions have drawn criticism - raising doubts over whether India will comfortably share the stage with him during the Asia Cup closing ceremony. With both boards standing firm, the ICC now faces the task of reviewing the complaints and deciding whether disciplinary action is warranted.
The decisions could have a bearing not only on the players involved but also on the already strained cricketing ties between the two nations.
