Nagaland's Tourism and Higher Education Minister Temjen Imna Along is one of the most adored politicians in India for his witty takes on various subjects which has made the 44-year-old politician a viral face on social media.

Along recently went virat for his hilarious when asked about his favourite cricket player as he momentarily forgot moder-day Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli's and asked someone the name of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma's husband.

Kohli is married to actress Anushka Sharma since 2017 and the couple have two lovely children, Vamika, born in 2021 and Aakay born in 2024.

Nagaland minister Temjen Imna Along goes viral for forgetting Virat Kohli's name

In an interaction with News18, Along was asked, who is favourite cricketer, to which the minister named Sachin Tendulkar. He was then asked to name a favourite from the current of cricketers who are still active.

In response, Along took a brief pause before asking someone, "What is the name of Anushka Sharma's husband?" The lady standing on his right, had a good laugh before naming Virat Kohli.

Along then hilariously quipped: "I remember Anushka Sharma's name because she loves Virat Kohli!"

What next for Virat Kohli?

Virat Kohli, along with Rohit Sharma returned to international cricket after seven months since taking part in the Champions Trophy as they have travelled to Australia as part of India's ODI squad.

The veterans' return, however, was marked by a disappointing show at Perth in the first ODI as Sharma and Kohli departed for 8 and 0 respectively, as India were beaten by 7 wickets by the hosts.

The Indian team will be back in action on Thursday, October 23 as they take on the Aussies in the 2nd ODI in Adelaide.
