The moment came hours after Nayar had spoken about Rohit's impressive fitness transformation and his goal to stay in peak shape for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

"Arey bhai usse popcorn mat de (Don't let him eat popcorn)!"

Before the match, Nayar had discussed Rohit's remarkable 11-kg weight loss. He credited the opener's determination to get leaner and sharper ahead of the 2027 World Cup.

Speaking to JioHotstar, Nayar explained that Rohit's goal was not just cosmetic but performance-driven: to become faster, more agile, and ready for the physical demands of international cricket.

Despite the buzz surrounding his comeback, Rohit scored just eight off 14 balls before being dismissed by Josh Hazlewood. India struggled throughout, finishing on 136 in a rain-curtailed innings.

Australia comfortably chased down the revised target of 131, with Mitchell Marsh unbeaten on 46, as the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
