Gervonta Davis lawsuit
Davis is facing a civil lawsuit accusing him of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress from a woman who claims to be the boxer's ex-girlfriend.
The woman petitioned for a restraining order and was granted a temporary order. Davis is set for a Nov. 12 hearing, where a permanent restraining order could be granted.
Davis is accused of attacking the woman, who is a "VIP waitress" at a Miami Gardens gentleman's club, on Oct. 27, but that incident is not isolated, she claims. The woman alleges Davis also choked her in August and held her against her will with a weapon at his home in September.
The woman claims Davis threatened to kill her in September after she refused to answer his phone calls.
The lawsuit is only a civil filing, but ESPN reported a police report was also filed in Miami Gardens.
