Commonwealth Games 2030: India recommended as host as Ahmedabad could stage global event image

India are all set to host the Commonwealth Games after 20 years since it last hosted the global event. In 2010, India selected the national capital Delhi as the host city for the competition, however, this time, Gujarat's Ahmedabad has got the nod.

The Commonwealth Games will serve as the perfect dress rehearsal for India, who are also plotting an ambitious plan to host the 2036 Olympics.

India submitted Ahmedabad's name to the Commonwealth Sport executive board, which has recommended India as a host to the house, which will take a final call next month.
