Australia's World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins recently revealed his all-time India vs Australia ODI XI, but with a unique twist.

The pace bowling all-rounder decided that his side would not consist of any current players; rather, it would be made up of retired greats of the game.

The decision meant that the modern-day greats, such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Mitchell Starc, and others missed out from his XI.

Pat Cummins picks India vs Australia all-time ODI XI

Team India and Australia have been two of the most dominant sides in World cricket in the past few decades. Whenever the two sides clash, there's plenty of action and excitement among fans.

Talking to Star Sports ahead of the upcoming series, Cummins picked his all-time India vs Australia ODI XI. The Australian skipper went ahead with some of the game's greats such as Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, MS Dhoni and Glenn McGrath, among others. His eleven, however, included just three former Indian players.

The pacer chose David Warner as the opening partner for Sachin Tendulkar, while No.3 and the middle-order consisted of Ponting, Watson, Steve Smith, Michael Bevan, and MS Dhoni.

Brett Lee, Zaheer Khan, and Glenn McGrath were the three pacers, while the late Shane Warne was picked as the solitary spinner.

When will India and Australia play next?

Team India is set to tour Australia for a white-ball series involving 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. The series will commence in Perth from October 19th with the ODI leg, which will see the return of two of India's greatest stars, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
