Sarah Strong delivered a dominant all-around performance to keep top-ranked UConn unbeaten, posting 29 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, five steals and three blocks in a 100-68 rout of Ohio State on Sunday.

Azzi Fudd added 19 points and seven assists, and freshman Blanca Quinonez came off the bench to score 18 for the Huskies (4-0). Serah Williams chipped in 12 as UConn used a crushing middle stretch to take command.

Ohio State (2-1) trailed by just a point late in the second quarter before UConn’s pressure flipped the game. The Huskies outscored the Buckeyes 52-27 across the second and third quarters, fueled by Strong’s 21 points, five assists and four steals during that span.

Fudd, who missed all five of her first-quarter shots, found her rhythm with three 3-pointers in the second. The Buckeyes went without a field goal over the final 6:06 of the half and committed nine turnovers in the last 5:03. UConn opened the second quarter on an 8-0 run and closed the half with an 11-0 surge.

Jaloni Cambridge led Ohio State with 17 points and six rebounds. After making four of their first five 3-pointers, the Buckeyes missed their next seven attempts as UConn’s lead ballooned to 28.

WNBA coaches Jose Fernandez, Rachid Meziane and Sandy Brondello were in attendance.
