It's not something that was well known before tip off.
But when the UCLA Bruins women's basketball team took the floor to take on Duke on Thursday night, Lauren Betts wasn't out there.
It doesn't take long to see that the 6-foot-7 All-American isn't on the court.
She played a night earlier against Texas, but not on this night against the Blue Devils.

Why isn't Lauren Betts playing?
Betts had an injury, and that's why she was held out of the lineup.
According to the Duke Chronicle, Betts sustained an elbow injury against the Longhorns and was inactive for that reason.
So far this season, Betts has averaged 14.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. She's shooting 60.3% from the floor and 89.5% from the foul line.
