Dawn Staley's South Carolina women's basketball team is playing shorthanded on Tuesday night.
Taking on in-state rival Clemson, the Gamecocks are without Maddy McDaniel.
It likely won't hold back South Carolina, which is the No. 2 ranked team in the country, against the unranked Tigers.
It's still not ideal.

Why isn't Maddy McDaniel playing tonight?
Maddy McDaniel isn't injured. Rather, she's suspended.
South Carolina announced her suspension shortly before the game.
"Maddy McDaniel will not be at tonight's game. She has been suspended," South Carolina wrote on social media.
McDaniel is a sophomore.
Last season, she averaged 3.1 points per game across 30 games as a freshman.
South Carolina is already shorthanded, missing Chloe Kitts and Ashlyn Watkins.
There will likely be more news on McDaniel's suspension after the game.
