The basketball world is gutted after it was announced that USC star sophomore JuJu Watkins will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season with a torn ACL suffered in the second round of March Madness.

Watkins, the AllSportsPeople College Player of the Year, was displaying a presence beyond her years this season, leading the Trojans to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament with averages of 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

At 19, Watkins has emerged as the face of the women's college game, succeeding Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. In the aftermath of Watkins' injury, Clark was among many who took to social media to offer support to the up-and-coming superstar.

Together, Clark (2022-24) and Watkins (2025) combine for the past four Big Ten Player of the Year awards. The two are connected as some of the biggest stars to grace college basketball and planned on connecting on a more personal level when time permitted.

Tuesday, Clark took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer encouragement and the ultimate vote of belief in Watkins.
