Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso is set to play in tonight's home game against the Los Angeles Sparks. Following that, the former South Carolina Gamecocks star will miss several games.

Cardoso has elected to play for Team Brazil, her home country, in the upcoming FIBA AmeriCup. The event is scheduled to begin on June 28 and conclude on July 6.

The former All-American at South Carolina was named tournament MVP in 2023 when Brazil defeated the United States 69–58 in the gold medal game.

Overall, Brazil has the most medals in the history of the event, with 14, followed by Canada with 13, Cuba with 10, and the United States with just 6.

After the Tuesday night game, Chicago will head out on the road for four straight games. They will play at Golden State on June 27, Los Angeles on June 29, Minnesota on July 6, and Washington on July 8. Cardoso is expected to miss all of those games, and the team hopes she can rejoin on Wednesday, July 9, against the Dallas Wings.

Team Brazil's first game is on June 28, as they take on Argentina.
