Sophie Cunningham final injury status revealed for Fever-Dream rematch image

The Indiana Feverbegan the 2025 WNBA season with a blowout win over Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday. However, the Fever lost to the Atlanta Dream, 91-90, on Tuesday night.

The Fever and Dream face off again on Thursday, and the status of Sophie Cunningham has been up in the air as she awaits her Fever debut.

On Wednesday, the Fever gave another update and listed Cunningham as questionable, per Peterson.

"An update: The Fever have amended their injury report to list Sophie Cunningham as QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow at Atlanta."

White had said those comments prior to practice, and now it seems there is still a chance she can play despite the first report having her listed as out.

Cunningham was questionable for Tuesday's game before being ruled out.

Right before tipoff, the Fever announced Cunningham is available for the game and set to make her Fever debut.

Fever coach Stephanie White also said Cunningham will not be on a minutes restriction, which is huge news for Indiana.

Cunningham twisted her ankle during a preseason game against the Dream, and the offseason trade acquisition from the Phoenix Mercury is getting closer to returning to the floor.
