It certainly was not easy, but a win is a win. The Indiana Fever led by 13 points at halftime, but had to weather a storm from Dallas to hold on to win the game 94-86 on Friday.

The win for the Fever came without their star player Caitlin Clark, who missed her seventh  game of the season, and second in a row with a left groin injury.

Stephanie White picked up her 100th wins a head coach in this game. White came into the season with a 92-56 record, and this was the 8th win of the season for the Fever.

White was with the Fever in 2015 and 2016, where she went 37-31 in her career. After years off from the WNBA, she came back and went 55-25 over a two year span with Connecticut. After the 2024 season though, White chose to leave the Sun and head to Indiana to coach Clark and the Fever.

The Fever saw four players score double digits in the game. Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 32 points in the game. Aliyah Boston was strong as well, with 21 points, and six rebounds. Natasha Howard had 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Aari McDonald added 13 for Indiana.

For Dallas, rookie Paige Bueckers led the way. The former UConn Huskies star scored 28 points on 9-for-18 shooting. Arike Ogunbowale added 15 points, while Myisha Hines-Allen scored 14.

Indiana is now 8-9 and will host the Las Vegas Aces on July 3. Dallas is back in action on Sautrday, as they host the Washington Mystics.
