Fever's Sophie Cunningham takes advantage of Caitlin Clark injury with incredible debut image

The Indiana Fever will want Caitlin Clark back from injury as fast as possible.

In the meantime, Sophie Cunningham has them covered.

The Fever picked up the talented wing player this offseason from Phoenix.

On Saturday, she made her preseason debut for Indiana in a clash with the Mystics.

Cunningham went off.

Her final stats:

  • 21 points
  • 8 rebounds
  • 2 assists

Cunningham played six seasons for the Mercury after starring in college at Mizzou. She has a career average of 7.7 points per game.

If Clark is healthy, Cunningham will mostly be a spot-up 3-point shooter.

Without Clark for now with a knee injury, Cunningham gets the chance to fill a bigger role.

If nothing else, it's great experience to try and build as deep a team as possible in pursuit of a WNBA title.
