As 2025 draws to a close, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is in a reflective mood.

Clark on Wednesday reunited with Jason and Travis Kelce for a special New Year's Eve edition of the brothers' New Heights podcast. Early in the show, Clark was asked about her forthcoming Nike signature shoe, which will make her one of only six active WNBA players with that distinction.

Clark told the Kelces that Nike first approached her during her senior year at Iowa, and that all of Nike, Adidas and Under Armour offered her a shoe deal.

Even though Nike's process took longer -- Clark said it took around 18 months for her to pick out what she wanted from her first shoe -- the partnership represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

"Everybody knows Nike makes the best product, it just takes a little bit longer," Clark said. "I grew up wanting to be a Nike athlete, every kid does. That's the premier brand."

Though Clark admitted that she found it challenging to find a sweet spot between a unique design and a comfortable fit, she called the process of picking out her signature shoe "one of the coolest things" she's been able to do in her career.

And to Travis Kelce's delight, Clark said that she would release a Kansas City Chiefs-themed colorway of her shoe in the near future.
