Every year just weeks after Christmas, the world of racing rejoices for the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. The 2026 edition will take over Tulsa this week.
Since its inception in 1987, the Chili Bowl Nationals has brought hundreds of race rigs to the ever-growing event. The venue's classic clay track makes for 55 laps of action-filled entertainment, observed by more than 15,000 spectators every year.
After 40 years, the racing event has made much history. The Swindell family claims the most wins collectively, with Sammy Swindell holding five titles, and his son Kevin tacking on four consecutive from 2010-2013. The modern era belongs to Kyle Larson, though, who has three victories and pulled off a commanding win in 2025.
