The 40-year-old free-solo climbing legend lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Sanni, and their two daughters, June and Alice.

Honnold was born in 1985 and raised in Sacramento, California, the son of two community college teachers. He began climbing at age 5 in local gyms and was training almost daily by the time he was 11. That early consistency laid the foundation for a career defined by preparation, according to his bio.
Before settling in Nevada, Honnold spent nearly a decade living out of a famously small camper van, allowing him to stay close to climbing destinations while keeping his life intentionally simple.
