The Toronto Raptors have played seven of their last eight games at home.

You know what that means — a long road trip awaits.

On Friday, the Raptors begin a five-game road trek with a matchup against the Detroit Pistons. It's the second meeting between the two teams this season, the first ending in a 127-121 victory for the Pistons. Big games from Gary Trent Jr. (23 points) and Pascal Siakam (25 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists) weren't enough to overcome a balanced attack from Detroit that was led by 24 points from Jerami Grant.

That was one of only three games Fred VanVleet has not played in so far this season.

Following Friday's game against the Pistons, the Raptors will face the Milwaukee Bucks (Jan. 15), Miami Heat (Jan. 17), Dallas Mavericks (Jan. 19) and Washington Wizards (Jan. 21). They will return to Toronto on Jan. 23 for a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Raptors are currently 12-11 at home and 8-7 on the road this season.
