The launch of NBA 2K19 means the NBA season is just around the corner. While there's plenty of time for players to improve, we're taking a look at the first 2K ratings of the Toronto Raptors.

Kawhi Leonard

As revealed earlier in the summer, Kawhi Leonard begins the season with a rating of 94. Despite only appearing in nine games in the 2017-18 season, Kawhi is the seventh-highest rated player in the game behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Kevin Durant and LeBron James.

Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas

Kyle Lowry (85) and Jonas Valanciunas (82) are the Raptors' other two players rated over 80. Lowry is coming off of his fourth-consecutive All-Star season in which he averaged 16.2 points, 6.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds. In 77 games, Valanciunas averaged 12.7 points and a team-high 8.6 rebounds per contest.

The Bench Mob

Toronto, owners of one of the best second units in the league last season, will likely lean on their reserves again in 2018-19.

While starting lineups are sure to change throughout the season, 2K has the Raptors rolling with a bench unit of players rated 75 or higher: Fred VanVleet (77), Delon Wright (77), Pascal Siakam (77), OG Anunoby (75) and C.J. Miles (75).

The Newcomers

In addition to Leonard, Toronto acquired veteran guard Danny Green from San Antonio and centre Greg Monroe via free agency. Green enters his 10th season with a rating of 75 and Monroe enters his ninth season with a rating of 76.

With an offensive rating of 94 and defensive rating of 98, the Raptors begin the season with a team rating of 96 – earning the distinction of a "Tier 1" team in online play. That ties them with the Houston Rockets for the third-best team rating in the game, trailing only the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics.
