The 2025 NBA Finals will begin on Friday, Oct. 3. Game 7, if necessary, would be two weeks later on Friday, Oct. 17.

The best-of-three first round starting in mid-September is a 1-1-1 format, with the higher seed hosting Game 1 and, if necessary, Game 3.
The semifinals, a best-of-five round starting on Sunday, Sep. 21, follow a 2-2-1 format, with the higher seed hosting Games 1, 2 and 5.
For the first time, the WNBA Finals will expand to a best-of-seven series and will have a 2-2-1-1-1 structure, in which the higher seed would host Games 1, 2, 5 and 7.
