Joseph Rondone, Brett Davis

One of the biggest games of NFL Week 2 goes down in Minneapolis. The Vikings will host the Falcons in reunion like never before.

Last season, Kirk Cousins returned to Minnesota for the first time after joining the Falcons in a free agent move. The Vikings bested their former QB 42-21, but Atlanta will get another shot once again.

This time, though, it won't be Cousins suiting up. Michael Penix Jr. was named starting quarterback for Atlanta in his sophomore season ahead of the 2025 kickoff. It marked the organization's move from their pricey vet to the young slinger.

Still, the Falcons could be walking out with a victory. The Vikings' ceiling this year is high, but there's plenty of questions left as the season begins. Will JJ McCarthy show out in his pro start? Can the team utilize it's star offense to its potential?
