The Monte-Carlo Masters has come back with a bang in 2022. 

The famous clay tournament has more than doubled the amount of money the singles champion will receive this year compared to the last edition. 

Covid-19 forced most tennis tournaments to reduce prize money on offer in 2021 but Monte Carlo has wasted no time bringing back the cash. 

Here's how much each player will take home in 2022:

Monte-Carlo Masters past winners

Stefanos Tsitsipas is the reigning singles champions at Monte Carlo after defeating Andrey Rublev in the 2021 final. 

Rafael Nadal has enjoyed the most overall success at the tournament having won the title a record 11 times with eight of those victories coming consecutively. 

Nadal's long-time rival, Roger Federer, has never won the Monte-Carlo Masters having lost in the final four times. 

Neither Nadal or Federer took part in the tournament in 2022 with both sidelined through injury. 

Current world number one and two-time champion, Novak Djokovic, did compete this year but was knocked out in his first match
