Xabi Alonso reveals Real Madrid's plans for transfer window image

The summer transfer window will close in a few days, and many clubs are finalizing signings and departures. Real Madrid made a couple of changes in the squad this summer as legendary players like Luka Modric have left the club, while signings like Dean Huijsen arrived.

Real Madrid is rumored to continue doing business in the next few days, whether it has to do with departures or bringing in another player. Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has been rumored to leave the club, with clubs like Real Betis and Marseille showing interest.

If Ceballos had left the club, Real Madrid were reportedly ready to sign a midfielder this summer under Xabi Alonso's influence.

Ahead of the match against Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu, Xabi Alonso was asked about the team and if the club is looking to bring in another signing before the transfer window closes.

Despite the club bringing in four players, it is rumored that Alonso wants another midfielder in the team, but the Spanish manager reveals that the sqaud is already completed for the upcoming season.

Xabi Alonso on Real Madrid's Transfer Window

When asked if the sqaud is sealed for the upcoming season, Alonso responds with assurance as he thinks it is confirmed that no incomings or departures will occur in the next few days.

Xabi Alonso: "Most likely yes, but we will wait and see, but most likely the team is closed."

One of the players who is rumored to leave the club this summer is Rodrygo, who has featured in fewer minutes this summer under Xabi Alonso. As the transfer window is closing in a few days, a deal for the Brazilian to leave seems unlikely.

Rodrygo was rumored to request a position change at Real Madrid, with the left-wing position being his favorite.

When asked about Rodrygo's position change request, Alonso reveals his thoughts on Rodrygo's flexibility in the attack, which suggests that the Brazilian forward will be used a lot this season.

Xabi Alonso: "He delivered his best performance in various positions. He played as a 9 and even in the 10 position. But I think the left wing is a very suitable position for him. After playing fewer matches... it was important for him to regain his dynamism in the team."
