Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso is looking to make major squad changes this summer.
Los Blancos have stepped up a gear at the FIFA Club World Cup with Alonso's charges closing in on a spot in the Round of 16 knockouts.
The former Spain international is firmly focused on his mission of reviving Real Madrid after agreeing to replace Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital.
On the back of failing to win a trophy in the regular 2024/25 season - as Barcelona swept to a domestic treble - Alonso's task is daunting.
Club president Florentino Perez will back him in the transfer market, with deals for Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold already wrapped up before his arrival, after being signed off by Ancelotti.
The first signing with Alonso's fingerprints on it came via a deal to bring in River Plate starlet Franco Mastantuono who will land in Madrid when he turns 18 in August.

The Argentina international has emerged as one of the brightest talents in South America in the last 12 months and Alonso had move swiftly to block a late offer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Finding a place for the teenager will be tricky and Alonso needs to strike a balance.
Where does Franco Mastantuono play at Real Madrid?
Masantuono started both of River Plate's matches at the Club World Cup on the right of a 4-3-3 system in a mirror of Alonso's current set up at Real Madrid.
That's his favoured spot, and Alonso agreed to the deal based on that, with an eye towards the future.
Despite initial rumours of Alonso looking to mirror his 3-4-2-1 system from Bayer Leverkusen, the former midfielder does not want to load too much change onto his players, and will stick with Ancelotti's 4-3-3 for now.

The Club World Cup schedule, and a reduced preseason, means Alonso has limited time to work with his squad and he will need to tweak as the campaign progress.
Young players including Endrick Felipe and Arda Guler featured sporadically under Ancelotti with the latter confirming he wants to play centrally under Alonso.
Doubts over Rodrygo Goes' place continue to circulate, with the club open to a major sale, if a suitable offer lands for the Brazil international.
Rodrygo has made the right-side attacking slot his own in recent years, alongside Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, but his spot is uncertain.
If Rodrygo moves on, that will increase Mastantuono's chances of a start, but Guler has the current edge as the new signing cannot feature for Alonso until his 18th birthday on August 14.
Rodrygo and Guler are the main current options, and Mastantuono needs one of them to leave to clear his path, or face a minor role in his first year in Madrid.
