Real Madrid are looking to continue their rebuild under Xabi Alonso in the next summer as they have set sights on a couple of midfielders who have been associated with the club in the past.

While Los Blancos are looking to challenge for trophies this season, there's a general consensus that they need reinforcements in midfield next season.

Hence, they are not looking elsewhere and are determined to recall two promising midfielders, who have the Real Madrid DNA and are shining abroad for their respective clubs.

Real Madrid hierarchy understand that Aurelien Tchouameni doesn't have a backup in this roster while Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler can slot in if needed, they are not direct replacement for the Frenchman in midfield.

Therefore, they are focused on bringing two interesting midfielder profiles next season, one defensive anchor in Chema Andres and another creative force like Nico Paz as reports via Diario AS

Both the players flourished at Real Madrid's youth academy and the club hold a big chunk of their rights and hence both the deals will be extremely economical for the La Liga giants.

Who are Real Madrid targets Chema Andres and Nico Paz?

Chema has been one of the most impressive young talents in the Bundesliga this season for Stuttgart.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder has broken through the Stuttgart's first eleven and has delivered some exceptional performances whilst showing leadership beyond his years.

He has brought control to Sebastian Hoeness' system while partnering Angelo Stiller in midfield. Apart from his 94% passing accuracy, Chema is also someone who can orchestrate the play from deep, make excellent recoveries and does not shy away from contesting in duels in the middle of the park.

Real Madrid sold 50% of his player rights €3m but holding the other half allows the Spanish giants to recall him for only cost €10m ($11.6m) for a player who has been compared with Rodrigo Bentancur for his tactical awareness, playing style and physical attributes.

Nico Paz

While Chema would bring steel to this Real Madrid midfield, Paz would inject a lot of finesse as he has grown leaps and bounds at Como under the tutelage of Cesc Fabregas.

As per reports, the Argentine midfielder has already been informed that he is part of Real Madrid's 2026 project which is why Como rejected an approach from Tottenham this summer

The playmaker has mustered three goals and as many assists for Como in six Serie A appearances this season and is on course of making the Argentina squad for next year's World Cup.

Madrid have a clause that would allow them to bring back Paz for only €9m ($10.4m) for someone who is seen as a long-term successor for Dani Ceballos.
