Real Madrid have been struggling with injuries since before the season started.

The club just got Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga back, but they are still without several key players.

Xabi Alonso has had to switch his defense around, with both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Carvajal suffering injuries.

The latest news on Alexander-Arnold is positive, though, with the defender eyeing a return soon.

When could Alexander-Arnold return for Real Madrid?

According to BBC Sport, Alexander-Arnold is aiming to return to play in the Champions League against his former club Liverpool.

The defender's rehab is going well, and the hope is that he can return seven weeks after leaving the pitch against Marseille.

The hamstring injury was thought to keep him out for around six weeks, and his progress is keeping him on track to maintain that timeline.

Alexander-Arnold has only played in five matches for Real, totaling 156 minutes in that time.

The defender had been criticized for his performances before the injury, and he'll be looking to get back to his best, especially if he can return on Real's trip to Anfield.
