Shortly after Nottingham Forest's 3-0 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League today, Ange Postecoglou lost his job at the City Ground.
This is the second manager to lose his job at Forest this season after Nuno Espirito Santo was shown the door following a fallout with the club's hierarchy.
Due to Nuno's impressive record last season, in which he qualified Forest for the Europa League, he was quickly snapped up by West Ham United.
It is unlikely now that another Premier League side would take a chance on Postecoglou in the near future.
He had eight games in charge of Forest, where he won none, drew two, and lost six. The Tricky Trees are now 18th in the Premier League and facing a relegation battle.
It seems strange that Forest did not make a change before the international break to give a new manager time.

Forest now needs to appoint a new manager quickly, as they face a Europa League tie against FC Porto next Thursday.
Sean Dyche and Roberto Mancini are options for Nottingham Forest
Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports posted on X: "Sean Dyche in advanced talks to be new #nffc manager - but Roberto Mancini has not yet been ruled out.
"Dyche could be appointed quickly if Marinakis decides he is the one. Bosses believe he offers stability, nous, organisation and motivational skills to get Forest out of a hole."
Dyche appears to be the sensible option as he will get the team organised and has experience of fighting relegation battles.
The former Burnley and Everton manager was also at Forest as a player, so it would be a fitting return.
Taking a chance on Mancini would be a gamble, as he has been away from club football since leaving Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2018.
His last two jobs were with Italy and Saudi Arabia. Mancini did win the Premier League with Manchester City, but that was back in the 2011/12 season.
