Nigeria and Morocco each came through tough assignments to set up a mouthwatering Africa Cup of Nations semifinal.
The Super Eagles, still smarting from missing out on qualification for the FIFA World Cup, overcame a talented Algeria side 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.
Brahim Diaz remains ahead of Osimhen at the top of the Golden Boot race with five goals after he opened the scoring in Morocco's win over Nigeria's great rivals Cameroon by the same scoreline.
The winner will face the winner of the Senegal vs. Egypt semifinal in Sunday's final.
