Tyler Adams injury update raises USMNT World Cup concern for Bournemouth midfielder image

Tyler Adams is one of the most crucial players to the United States men's national team.

Heading into a World Cup at home in the summer, the USMNT needs all its best players fit and available.

Adams is injured right now, but it shouldn't impact his World Cup availability.

On Friday, Bournemouth announced that Adams will be out two to three months with a torn ACL:

Even if Adams is out for three months, he'll back in March and have about two months of the Premier League run-in to get match fitness built up again.

The only key for Adams will be to avoid any setbacks or re-injuries that could put his summer in jeopardy.

When Adams is fit, he's a fulcrum in the U.S. Midfield, a great defensive-minded player who also cycles the ball well through the team.

The USMNT doesn't really have another player like Adams. It's key for him to get back onto the pitch in time to build up for the World Cup.

All eyes will be on the United States this summer, and Adams wants to be a part of that, for sure.
